You may have seen, or already own, a fold-up Peak Music Stand. This is an even more stable, solid, perfect-for-your-practice space music stand and it comes with a carrying case. With all Peak models, the price can’t be beat.

I purchased my first Peak banjo stand from Elderly Instruments several years ago. I’ve always been a believer that having instruments out and available encourages more playing. At the same time, I had many close calls with other stands where they almost went over with potential disastrous results. I have NEVER had even a close call with my Peak which sits next to my desk and always has a banjo in it. This was also my experience using the stand on stage (where I had problems in the past with other stands).

As a member of Banjo Hangout, I have been singing your praises for the same number of years. The recurring argument is “it’s crazy to leave a banjo out of the case; disaster awaits!”. I then repeat what I said above. I also have a second banjo stand and a guitar stand, also Peak, my only floor stands.

I’m writing now because I just got up to go in the other room and hooked my foot on my “new” prewar RB6!!! I drug it a few inches before stopping. I then tugged on the strap further. At no time did the banjo even begin to tip; it just slid. Brilliant!
